The first theme rebuilt from the ground up: Forge 2.0.0 "Coulée", for competitive clans.
Changed
- Forge 2.0.0 "Coulée": a new layout, not a reskin. Navigation leaves the top of the page for a steel rail on the side, with the site logo at the top and the account at the bottom (avatar, notifications, day mode, member area menu); on phones, the logo and the account move to a top bar and the navigation to a tab bar at the bottom of the screen, and beyond five entries the last ones go into "More". The home page opens on a lava hearth where embers rise: the slider, its title cast in metal, and the latest results plate. Below, a dashboard: the news (the first one featured) and, beside it, the upcoming matches, the awards and who is online. Blocks are cut-corner plates whose edge glows on hover; the forum puts each forum in a steel drawer with a heat gauge for its activity; the member area and the public profile get the identity plate and beveled tabs; the footer is riveted and carries the partners. Day mode lightens the content, while the rail and the hearth stay steel and fire. All motion stops when the visitor asks for reduced motion. The matches, awards and partners blocks are only placed when their modules are installed.
- Forge’s zones are named after their place: "Navigation rail", "Top of page", "Content", "After content", "Footer".
- Forge’s settings: the logo is finally used (the rail’s emblem; without a logo, the site’s initials); the banner image becomes the hearth image; an "Embers in the hearth" setting (none, gentle, lively) replaces the fixed top bar setting, which no longer has a purpose.
- The awards widget shows the podium place ("1st", "2nd", "3rd") and the competition name across the full available width, with the location and platform below; the line used to start with the platform and cut the name at twenty characters.
- The demo’s slider images no longer carry their title: the slider already writes it on top, and it showed twice, across the caption on phones.
Fixed
- A theme setting shows immediately (accent color, background and banner images…): the stylesheet address only followed the file date, and the browser kept the old stylesheet after a change.
- The customization page of the Forge, Granite, Blockcraft and Extend themes is titled with the theme's name, instead of an untranslated "Dashboard" shown on every tab.
- In English, the awards no longer say "2th" or "3th": podium places have their own words, other places read "#4".
- Reinstalling a theme no longer writes a warning to the log in debug mode (a PHP 8.2 "Deprecated" warning).
