Create a website for
your community
without a line of code
NeoFrag Reborn is the open source CMS for communities, from gaming to nonprofits. Forum, events, members, donations: a site in your image — modern, secure and completely free.
Everything your community needs
A modern modular architecture for every active community: competition, club life or a shared passion.
Modular
Enable only what you need. Modules, widgets and themes you can install on the fly from the marketplace.
eSports & Gaming
Teams, matches, achievements, recruitment, game servers: modules built for competition.
Nonprofits & clubs
Members and groups, events and calendar, donations, newsletter, wiki: everything that keeps a club, a nonprofit or a collective alive.
Secure
Argon2id, fine-grained roles & permissions, 2FA, moderation, one-click restorable backups. Secure by default.
Multilingual
Native multilingual sites, translations maintained by the community.
Customizable
Day/night themes, live editor, color-based styling. Build a unique site that reflects who you are.
// A NeoFrag module is just a class class Teams extends Module { public function index() { return $this->collection('team') ->order_by('name') ->view('list'); } }
A framework, not just a CMS
Build your own modules, themes and widgets with a clear, documented API, on PHP 8.2 and up. Service locator, routing, migrations, models — everything is designed to move fast.
The project is moving forward
NeoFrag Reborn is at version 1.2.54 — well beyond the original alpha.
Modernized foundations Done
Docker, CI, versioned migrations, integration tests, web installer, security hardening.
36 modules & 26 widgets Done
Forum, teams, matches, gallery, gamification, shop, classifieds, notifications, recycle bin…
One-click web installer Done
Installation wizard: requirements, database, admin account. A command-line installer is also available for automated deployments.
Pick-and-choose installation Done
Choose the type of site you are building right at install time: full, gaming & eSports, community, nonprofit or club, or the core alone. Nothing is set in stone — everything can still be enabled later.
Secure remote marketplace Done
Add modules, widgets and themes in one click from the marketplace — HTTPS download verified by SHA-256 hash.
Complete documentation Done
User and developer guides, available right on the site — something NeoFrag had always lacked.
Community statistics Done
Activity dashboard covering all content: news, forum, gallery, classifieds, donations and more.
Menu builder Done
Custom multi-level menus, reusable anywhere on the site.
Richer member profiles Done
Each member's activity wall and contributions, gathered on their profile.
Scheduled publishing Done
Schedule your news, articles, pages and galleries to go live whenever you choose.
Instant global search Done
A single bar that suggests results as you type, across the site's content — news, forum and pages.
Webhooks & live status Done
Signed webhooks to Discord, Zapier and your tools on every site event; live status for multiple Twitch and YouTube channels, with a built-in player.
Newsletter & advanced events Done
Scheduled, segmented newsletters (everyone, members, or a group), events with recurrence, attendees and automatic reminders. A whole series can be edited or deleted in one go.
One-click CMS update Done
Update NeoFrag Reborn from the admin panel. The package is hash-verified before it is applied, a full backup — files and database — is taken just before writing, and if anything fails along the way, the site rolls itself back to its previous state.
REST API & Discord bot Done
An API so that programs can read your site and post on its forum or Bugtracker; the Discord bot uses it to link your server to the site.
Installable site (PWA) Done
Your site installs on a phone like an app. Optionally, it keeps its images, styles and scripts to open faster.
Heavy lifting done Done
The end of the big development push and of the takeover of the original NeoFrag code: clean versioning, an up-to-date changelog, LGPLv3 license.
Open source on GitHub Done
The code, the installation packages, the optional add-ons and the Discord bot have been published on GitHub since 4 October 2026: anyone can build their own site.
Theme customization Done
The font and the colors are chosen in each theme, with a live preview and an unreadable color refused.
Push notifications Done
Notifications in the browser, even when the site is closed: everyone turns them on for their own devices and chooses which ones they receive.
Improvements & technical overhaul Ongoing
Performance, code quality and security strengthened release after release, without disrupting your site.
